Something nice happened!
Sunday morning we were getting ready to leave for Illinois for the day, and we noticed a group of people that appeared to be handing out bags of food on our street. Kinda odd we thought. So a bit later we saw a bag of food in front of our door with a note attached to it from a local church group sharing food and inviting people to a cookout at Southside Park this week. In the bag was a few loose potatoes, onions, a bag of carrots, and some fresh picked green beans!! So if you are with this church (I believe they called themselves Harvest Community) thank you for the kind thought and sharing your food with everyone!
With so much bad crap happening all over, it is very refreshing to have something like this happen. Oh and they had kids with them too. Nice to see some parents teaching their kids the values of sharing and kindness!
